Description
The SG 1 system consists of a self-contained transmitter detector, SGT and a receiver detector, SGR which are available in sturdy slimline (10x28 mm) and leading edge (37.5x13 mm) aluminium profiles. The series is available as a 20 channel system which generates 94 crossed infrared light beams, and as a 40 channel system which generates 194 crossed infrared light beams. All the models are available as a 4 wire, NPN or PNP transistor output, or 5 wire, solid state output with 12-36 V dc supply voltage.
The advanced feature, automatic signal tracking (AST), ensures that no on-site set-up or adjustments are required. The signal level of each channel is continuously adjusted automatically according to the operating conditions, compensating for misalignment and moderate contamination. The time-out function, which can be selected via wire connection, allows up to 4 non-adjacent channels to be ignored if permanently obstructed for 10 seconds or more. If a time-out channel resume operation, the time-out will automatically be cancelled. The test input in the SGT may be used for disabling or enabling the transmitter beams to imitating an obstruction for test purposes.
The transmitter and receiver are protected against reverse polarity of power supplies, test input and output signals. The output is protected against short circuit and inductive loads.
